Position Overview

Casa Counseling, a division of Casa de la Familia, is seeking experienced licensed psychologists to deliver trauma-informed therapeutic services and oversee doctorate-level trainees.

OUR VISION

At Casa de la Familia, we are committed to fostering the enduring mental health of individuals who have encountered psychological trauma. Our organization focuses on treating post-traumatic stress, anxiety, and depressive disorders through crisis intervention and comprehensive individual and family therapy. We collaborate closely with various social service agencies, law enforcement, victim advocacy groups, family resource centers, nonprofit organizations, and community service initiatives.

ROLE OF A MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST

We are on the lookout for a dedicated professional to engage primarily within our diverse programs. These include social services, the victims of crime initiative, and private client therapy. Services encompass individual, family, and group therapy sessions.

COLLABORATIVE ENVIRONMENT

As a mental health therapist, you will be paired with a clinical supervisor and will have designated time each week to discuss your cases. Additionally, a case manager will be assigned to support your success and assist in navigating our programs, ensuring optimal care for clients.

INITIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

In your first 90 days, you will:

  • Conduct intake assessments and therapy sessions for your designated caseload.
  • Familiarize yourself with our systems, ensuring precise documentation.
  • Utilize available resources effectively to serve your clients.

Within your first 6 months, you will:

  • Establish yourself as a trusted clinician among clients and colleagues.
  • Develop additional projects and services through Casa Counseling, such as content creation for blogs and social media.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • EXPERIENCE
    • Experience working with trauma-affected individuals.
    • Proficiency in diagnostic assessments.
    • Capability in formulating treatment plans.
  • PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to ensure optimal client care.
    • A proactive approach with a passion for community service.
    • A strong sense of accountability and integrity in interactions with clients and colleagues.
    • Openness to learning and receiving guidance from supervisors and peers.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Active registration with the relevant licensing board.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE

Licensed Psychologists: $44 - $50, per diem

  • Compensation is determined by factors including:
    • Experience in trauma treatment.
    • Diagnostic experience.
    • Skill in treatment planning.
    • Documentation proficiency.
    • Availability.
