Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Deli Manager in overseeing daily operations, including customer service, sales, and inventory management.
  • Assist in achieving financial goals by maximizing sales and gross profit, while minimizing shrink and supply expenses.
  • Take customer orders accurately and assist with prepared foods and specialty Deli products.
  • Participate in weekly ordering and ensure adequate supply levels.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Support the necessary paperwork and administrative tasks related to the Deli Department.
  • Contribute to the selection, training, and development of Deli associates.
  • Perform tasks assigned by the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a grocery store retail environment.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and push/pull loads up to 100 lbs, with regular vision and occasional walking, lifting, and carrying loads up to 50 lbs.
