Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room to become a vital part of our Marietta Outpatient Surgery Center team.

Experience a close-knit environment, a supportive team, and an exceptional work-life balance (no on-call duties, no holidays, no night shifts, and no weekends).

The ideal candidate will:
  • Uphold the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
  • Continuously assess patient conditions throughout the perioperative care process.
  • Craft a personalized perioperative care plan for each patient.
  • Collaborate as a member of a multidisciplinary team to plan perioperative patient care.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • Preferred: One year of experience in OR and/or medical/surgical nursing.
  • Possess a current state nursing license in good standing.
  • Complete Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of employment or provide proof of current certification.
  • Complete Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) training within 90 days of employment or provide proof of current certification.
  • Complete Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) training within 90 days of employment if pediatric care is part of the facility's services or provide proof of current certification.
  • Preferred: Specialty certification in Perioperative Nursing.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  • Physically demanding and high-stress environment.
  • Exposure to blood, body fluids, communicable diseases, chemicals, radiation, and repetitive motions.
  • Ability to push and pull heavy objects.
  • Full range of motion required, including handling and lifting patients and equipment.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination are essential.
  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
