The Indigo Road Hospitality Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team at the Flat Iron Hotel in Asheville, North Carolina. As a key member of our hotel operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the hotel's facilities and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and manage all administrative, financial, and operating aspects of the hotel's engineering department.
- Ensure the safety and profitability of the property in compliance with corporate standards, as well as local, state, and national codes and regulations.
- Lead the implementation of all property and equipment preventive maintenance and repairs, monitor life safety systems and utilities, and assist in the administration of the department.
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the engineering department and recommend procedural changes as needed.
- Monitor and control expenses, labor costs, and cost per occupied room.
- Order all necessary products to complete daily operations and maintain a safe and fair work environment.
- Direct the work of others in engineering or other departments, including housekeeping and facilities.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts, including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
