Mission

The Maintenance Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our maintenance department. Key responsibilities include supervising maintenance personnel, organizing and prioritizing job assignments, and providing technical guidance and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise maintenance personnel and ensure they perform their duties in accordance with safety protocols and regulations.
  • Assist the parts clerk in procurement and inventory management.
  • Conduct safety training programs and participate in monthly facility inspections.
  • Assist the Director of Maintenance with administrative duties, including personnel management and leave scheduling.
  • Participate in planning and budgeting for future projects and financial needs.
  • Respond to emergency situations and direct road call responses and industrial accident responses.
Requirements
  • High School graduate.
  • Completion of two years program in diesel mechanics or equivalent experience.
  • Five years' experience as a supervisor in a vehicle maintenance shop.
  • Extensive experience in diesel engine repair, large vehicle maintenance, and OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Basic knowledge of PC computers.
  • Excellent administrative and supervisory skills.
  • CDL with passenger endorsement.
  • Pass a drug and/or alcohol test.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Use of full ranges of hearing, speech, and vision.
  • Use of fingers (manual dexterity) handling paperwork.
  • Stoop, crouch, squat or kneel when performing inspections.
  • Bend at knee, hip, waist when performing duties.
  • Lift 50lbs to waist level, carry 35lbs, climb ladders and stairs, lie on floor.
  • Be subject to wet, cold or hot environmental conditions.
  • Write reports in a coherent, legible way.
  • Move about the office and between floors; utilize standard office equipment; access filing system/cabinets; and communicate effectively and efficiently in person or by telephone.
