About the Job

The YMCA of Metropolitan Washington is a leading nonprofit organization that has a strong commitment to nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living, and fostering a sense of social responsibility. We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Healthy Heart Ambassador.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver the YMCA's Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring (BPSM) program to community members, providing support and guidance to participants.
  • Actively engage and recruit participants, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all.
  • Maintain fidelity to the curriculum and ensure program quality.
  • Collaborate with the Community Health team to support program development and implementation.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
