Supplier Quality Assurance Specialist

Are you curious about the intricacies of cloud infrastructure? In this position, you will engage directly with the essential components that constitute 'the cloud'.
This role is a one-time, 1-day contract requiring on-site presence. Compensation includes up to $350 for travel expenses.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Supplier Quality Assurance Specialist, you will deliver Supplier Quality Development Services for our client at various facilities and global supplier locations. Your responsibilities will encompass both virtual and on-site evaluations of products and processes in accordance with established requirements and specifications using QuaSAR and ProBAR methodologies.
Your quality assessment duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Conducting assessments of suppliers' quality management systems (QMS) against QuaSAR QMS standards and ProBAR product quality benchmarks, which includes reviewing suppliers' procedures, work instructions, interviewing personnel, and evaluating QMS documentation.
- Coordinating with vendors for on-site assessment logistics while scheduling inspections and adhering to access protocols established through internal systems.
- Compiling comprehensive final assessment reports, integrating evidence, reviewing final scores, and identifying gaps with vendors.
- Verifying that inspection equipment utilized for measurements is proficient in detecting defects.
- Ensuring that inspection methodologies, controls, records traceability, test methods, design verifications, root cause analyses, corrective actions, sampling approaches, and in-process control records meet the specified requirements.
- Auditing and validating the execution of the source inspection plan.
- Creating, updating, and maintaining assigned QuaSAR & ProBAR issues for on-site assessment events.
- Ensuring that the supplier's quality control system documents findings and maintains CAPA procedures and work instructions for Quality Management System enhancements.
- Assessing and witnessing tests on behalf of the client, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for all equipment.
- Validating that equipment meets compliance with the Level 1 commissioning process prior to shipment.
- Collaborating with suppliers and sites to analyze failure modes and map out process points, ensuring that SQA inspection points are adequately covered in the inspection plan.
- Providing on-site support as necessary.
Engineering Responsibilities:

- Developing procedures, work instructions, and PFMEA documentation on behalf of the supplier.
