Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the established OneCHRISTUS Competencies, which include leadership at various levels.
- Engage in emergency response protocols, including Code Blue and Code White situations.
- Manage airway procedures, including nasotracheal and endotracheal suctioning.
- Administer aerosolized medications effectively.
- Oversee ventilator operations, ensuring proper setup and functionality.
- Provide oral hygiene care to patients.
- Implement and maintain airway support devices, such as BiPAP and CPAP.
- Utilize oxygen delivery systems and monitor therapeutic outcomes.
- Conduct chest film evaluations and blood gas analyses.
- Perform EKG assessments and maintain accurate documentation.
- Ensure the cleanliness and availability of necessary equipment and supplies.
- Participate in accreditation surveys and quality assurance initiatives.
- May assume leadership roles, such as Shift Leader or Team Leader.
- Advanced practice responsibilities may include therapeutic gas management, pulmonary function testing, and assisting in bronchoscopy procedures.
Qualifications:
- Possess the necessary licensure and/or certification as mandated.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Hold a valid RT or RCP License in the state of practice.
- BLS certification is required.
- Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) as recognized by the NBRC.
Work Schedule:
Night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.
Employment Type:
Per Diem, as needed.
