Job Summary

The Membership Operations Director is a key leadership position responsible for driving membership engagement and growth at the YMCA of South Florida. This role oversees the membership operations team, ensuring that members have a positive and quality experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service, sales, and supervision, with a proven track record of achieving team goals and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the membership operations team, including scheduling, supervision, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve membership engagement, retention, and growth.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of membership services.
  • Monitor and analyze membership data to inform business decisions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to members, addressing their concerns and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of customer service or sales experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people.
  • Strong desire to serve others and give back to the community.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual, English and Spanish language.
  • CPR/First Aid and AED certified.
  • Experience working in a non-profit or membership-based organization.
Work Environment

The Membership Operations Director will work primarily in an office environment, with occasional visits to outdoor program events. The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times, and the employee may be exposed to changing weather conditions while traveling.

Physical Demands

The Membership Operations Director will be required to stand for long periods, work under stressful conditions, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The employee must be in good physical health with full range of body motion, including manual and finger dexterity and eye/hand coordination.
