Small Business Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Small Business Specialist I to join our team. As a key member of our commercial banking team, you will be responsible for deepening relationships with existing small business customers within a specified territory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively initiate contact with all new small business customers to conduct a customer assessment within 30 days of them joining the bank.
- Assign customers to the proper TD Relationship Manager (RMLM, SB Specialist, Store Manager) based on the results of the customer assessment.
- Actively call all new small business customers that have opened accounts in partner stores and complete a customer assessment.
- Actively call SB customers assigned and meet with them as necessary to deepen relationships, manage customer service issues, and identify product needs.
- Generate sales and referrals to all business partners in the bank to help meet the comprehensive financial needs of small businesses.
- Directly manage a group of stores loan portfolio within the Front End Fulfillment process, responsible for the origination, structuring, and closing of all non-RMLM small business loan requests.
- Develop small business product expertise to properly vet potential product fits for our customer base.
- Work with the stores and commercial bank to ensure superior customer service as measured by CWI.
- Manage a portfolio of all loans in the Front End Fulfillment process, including relationship checkups and the renewal process.
- Determine the proper relationship manager (RMLM/SB Specialist/Store Manager) for all new-to-bank customers and assign appropriately.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of the local market, competitive offers, and economic trends.
- Work closely with the Small Business Credit Center and SBB product groups to ensure satisfactory customer response times for new credit applications.
- Reviews all reports, including pipelines, dashboards, etc., to ensure accurate and complete reporting, evaluating performance weekly.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of related experience.
- Two years of calling and lending or credit support-related experience at the small business level.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed marketing goals.
- Needs to be able to understand and analyze personal and business financial statements.
- Bilingual Spanish speaking (preferred).
