Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to oversee the administration of our structured training program. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the program's budget, overseeing contracts, and supervising a team of employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer statewide apprenticeship and training programs to build and maintain a highly skilled workforce.
  • Promote the role of apprenticeship and other industrial training programs in the private and public sector.
  • Plan, review, and evaluate the work of subordinate staff responsible for promoting, establishing, monitoring, and evaluating apprenticeship and other structured training programs.
  • Supervise and participate in enforcing regulations, standards, laws, programs, and policies.
  • Provide consultative services on matters such as training needs, labor and management disputes, and sponsor-apprentice disagreements.
  • Act as Secretary to the Delaware State Apprenticeship and Training Council.
Requirements
  • Three years of experience in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating employment and training programs.
  • Three years of experience in public relations, media relations, or communications.
  • Three years of experience in interpreting employment and training program laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of developing policies or procedures.
  • Knowledge of staff supervision.
