Job Summary

This role is responsible for the coordination of all activities associated with the management and oversight of the Central Inventory and Distribution Center operations. The successful candidate will oversee the receiving, inspection, and positioning of property entering the system, as well as the care and maintenance of property while in storage. Additionally, they will manage activities associated with periodic inventories, removal of property from stock for issue transfer or disposal, and packaging property for shipment for field activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in inventory management, computer software programs, and supervising lower-level employees.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate the management and oversight of the Central Inventory and Distribution Center operations
- Oversee the receiving, inspection, and positioning of property entering the system
- Manage the care and maintenance of property while in storage
- Conduct periodic inventories and remove property from stock for issue transfer or disposal
- Package property for shipment for field activities
- Develop and implement administrative programs and procedures
- Evaluate the effectiveness of administrative policies and procedures

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution
- Three years of experience in personnel, budgeting, research, or administrative management
- Considerable knowledge of inventory management and operation of central inventory and the support of field operations in normal and emergency conditions
- Experience in computer software programs, including MS Office Word and Excel, SAP, and the internet
- Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in establishing, applying, and interpreting administrative policies and procedures
