Lead Bartender

Join the Momofuku Group as a Lead Bartender and take your bartending skills to the next level. As a key member of our bar team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of service and beverage quality.
Responsibilities:- Uphold service and beverage standards during shifts to lead by example
- Oversee prep needs and planning for the bar program
- Train bar team on all new cocktails and ensure beverage standards are met
- Create educational opportunities for the staff with regards to cocktail and liquor knowledge
- Coach fellow team members during shifts to maintain standards; communicate deficiencies to management for follow up
- Oversee and guide guests complete dining and bar experience
- Provide knowledgeable, approachable, efficient, energetic, and thoughtful service at all times
- Full knowledge of food and beverage menu items including the major components of a dish/drink; this may include ingredients and their source, simple descriptions of unfamiliar ingredients, preparation, and/or execution of correct food and beverage service
- Adhere to all company service standards and protocols
- Uphold Momofuku standards of quality when assembling alcoholic beverages for guests
- Responsibly serve alcoholic beverages
- Confident and correct use of POS system for order entry and payment processing
- Ensure food and beverage arrive to guests quickly and correctly; and confirming guest satisfaction
- Maintain the cleanliness of bar tools and bar areas
- Ensure guests are charged correctly and receive proof of payment in a timely manner
- Communicate respectfully with chefs (and kitchen team) as necessary
- Support team with beverage service to all dining room areas
- Engage management for any guest issue or complaint
- Stocking and preparing bar service related items
- Adhere to grooming and dress code standards
- Inventory management and menu development
- Utilize sales reporting, provided by the Beverage Manager, to identify sales trends
- Under supervision of the Beverage Manager, develop seasonal beverage offerings in line with existing program narrative
- Work with management team on standardizing recipes and prep workbooks
- Order, receive and stock liquor and bar supplies inventory
- Work with the Beverage Manager to complete End of Month (EOM) Inventory
- Ability to maintain an organized and clean liquor storage, back bar, and beer walk-in
- Minimum 3+ years of bartending experience in a high-volume environment
- 1+ years supervisory experience a plus
- Strong beverage knowledge and a passion for the service industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must possess exceptional work ethic, strong attention to detail, and a collaborative attitude
- Receptive to constructive criticism and performance feedback
- Ability to demonstrate quick thinking and adaptability in a constantly changing environment
The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours.
