Position Overview
The Lead Bartender serves as a pivotal figure in our beverage service team, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for our guests. This role demands a blend of leadership, hospitality, and bartending expertise to foster a welcoming atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional service to guests, addressing their needs with warmth and professionalism.
- Accurately process guest orders through the MICROS/POS System, adhering to culinary standards.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the beverage menu, including spirits and wines, to enhance guest interactions.
- Coordinate with the kitchen staff regarding daily specials and dietary requirements.
- Utilize suggestive selling techniques to maximize sales opportunities.
- Manage cash transactions in accordance with established hotel protocols.
- Verify guest identification to ensure compliance with age restrictions for alcohol consumption.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring it is well-stocked and presentable.
- Foster a collaborative environment by promoting teamwork among staff members.
- Oversee the training and development of new bartending team members.
- Collaborate with management to innovate and refine cocktail offerings.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of three years of experience in a bartending or bar management role.
- Completion of a bartending training program is preferred.
- Possession of a California Food Handlers Card or ServSafe Certification.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform various physical tasks throughout the shift.
Work Environment
Employees will be exposed to outdoor conditions and high noise levels typical of a vibrant hospitality setting.
