Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-time Library Assistant. As a Wrangler of Library Materials, you will be responsible for ensuring our books, media, and music are out on our shelves, ready to be picked up by our library customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Refreshing displays and maintaining the correct locations of materials
  • Processing daily deliveries and getting materials onto the floor quickly
  • Tracing items, claiming returns, and getting them to their correct location
  • Implementing the district's recycling program and monitoring its effectiveness
  • Providing excellent customer service and answering basic questions about the library
  • Pitching in to answer phones, explain library operations, and pull items for condition

Requirements:

  • At least 16 years old
  • Pass our skills screening test
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Energetic and go-get 'em attitude
