Furthermore, the Retail Design Consultant is tasked with upholding the showroom's cleanliness, aesthetic, and overall presentation, including essential maintenance duties such as restocking and updating displays.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate under the guidance of the Sales Director.
  • Leverage the showroom to showcase premium products to designers, homeowners, and plumbing professionals.
  • Reach out to local designers and plumbing contractors to schedule sales meetings and assist in fulfilling their requirements.
  • Employ marketing strategies and skills to educate clients effectively.
  • Engage with showroom vendors to enhance product knowledge and expertise.
  • Build strong relationships with designers to facilitate collaboration and boost sales.
  • Manage the sales process from initial contact to installation.
  • Act as a problem solver, encouraging clients to seek assistance in completing their projects.
  • Ensure a clean, modern, and welcoming environment.
  • Always aim to finalize the sale.
  • Provide support to customers regarding returns and warranty inquiries as needed.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process purchase orders efficiently.
  • Assist with various administrative tasks.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • An associate degree or a degree in interior design is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in design or a related field is beneficial.
  • Strong customer service and communication abilities are essential.
  • 1 to 5 years of experience in sales within a plumbing fixture showroom is preferred but not required.
  • We are open to training the right candidate.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is necessary.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills are required, along with typing capabilities.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Typical working conditions for a retail/wholesale warehouse environment.
  • This position is full-time within the showroom.
  • Some travel may be necessary for training and trade shows.

SALARY DESCRIPTION

$20 - $22 per hour
