Job Summary

This is a full-time position located in our Downey Branch, requiring in-person attendance. The successful candidate will work Monday through Friday, 9am-6pm, with flexibility and occasional Saturdays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Loan Officers by performing all aspects of loan file setup, providing exceptional customer service to clients, and communicating current loan status to all interested parties.
  • Administrative and Clerical Duties as assigned, including answering phones, assisting clients, and using data entry on computers with Encompass, MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Loan File Setup involves ordering 4506-T, Social Security verification, VOEs, LDP/GSA, MERs information, USPS verification, and verifying approved status of title/escrow, as well as FHA case numbers if applicable.
  • Loan Pricing and requesting disclosures are also essential duties.
  • Documentation Follow-up and Tracking involves contacting borrowers, title companies, real estate offices, appraisers, lenders, and other parties to ensure loan closing proceeds smoothly.
  • Assist Loan Officers with any other aspect of the loan closing as directed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-2 years mortgage experience with a strong background in loan origination.
  • Licensed to originate mortgage loans.
  • Bilingual Spanish language skills are required.
  • Strong Interpersonal and Customer Service Skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Basic knowledge of loan programs and the ability to credit qualify borrowers.
  • Ability to work with diverse contacts including Loan Officers, clients, agents, lenders, title companies, and other stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Computer skills required for this position include intermediate/advanced MSWord, Excel, Outlook, and Encompass mortgage origination software.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet stringent deadlines on a consistent basis.
  • Previous experience in retail residential mortgage loan originations is strongly desired, preferably as a Loan Officer, Loan Officer Assistant, or Processor.
  • Commitment to company values, policies, and procedures is essential for success in this role.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills are required.
