Mergers and Acquisitions Specialist

**Global Investment Banking Department**
Crédit Agricole CIB is seeking a highly skilled Associate III to work within its Global Investment Banking Department in New York, NY, on the origination and execution of Mergers & Acquisitions.
This role requires strong leadership qualities, good business instincts, and the ability to work independently and on multiple projects with different team members.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Work closely with various sector and product teams to execute buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions.
- Develop and maintain extensive financial models in preparing company-specific financial analysis and conducting valuation analysis using various methodologies.
- Review valuation models, including comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis, discounted cash flow, leveraged buyout analysis, and merger plans.
- Manage projects in a client-facing role, including liaising with clients, potential buyers, clients' other advisors, and team members from across the bank.
- Participate in business and financial due diligence involving interaction with management teams, accountants, lawyers, consultants, and customers.
- Liaise with coverage, sales, and trading professionals and other product groups in preparing transactions and other ad-hoc requests.
- Identify opportunities and build a client network.
- Train and supervise junior resources.
**Qualifications and Experience**
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or a related field.
MBA a plus.
Min 5 years of Investment Banking related experience, or in a transaction services team with a strong modeling exposure.
Exposure to infrastructure modeling is a significant plus.
**Specialist Training and Registration**
CFA a plus.
Approved Person Registration: SIE, Series 7, 63, and/or 79.
**Competencies and Skills**
Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Experience must include either executing M&A transactions.
Must possess the following skills: smart, personable, strong writing, and financial modeling skills.
Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong work ethic.
**Quantitative and Technical Skills**
Strong technical skills – well-established knowledge of financial modeling (Discounted Cash Flows, Merger Models, and LBO analysis) with an ability to work independently on financial models.
Good understanding of what each particular situation calls for in terms of financial analysis – ability to make decisions on financial analysis and capacity to teach analysts to develop modeling and analytical skills.
Communication and business development skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to translate senior members' transaction ideas into a written document – ability to elaborate pitches with some guidance from senior team members.
Group coordination and training skills.
Multi-tasking ability.
