We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT professional to fill the role of Supervisory IT Specialist, Desktop Engineer. This position will oversee and direct a team of information technology specialists and engineers to provide high-quality Tier 3 support for the Desktop Support team.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and direct a team of IT specialists and engineers to provide Tier 3 support for the Desktop Support team.
- Implement policies, procedures, and systems to streamline Tier 3 support operations.
- Identify and implement process improvements with a strong emphasis on automation to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
- Ensure processes are in place to maintain the IT security of DEUS managed devices and systems, and that vulnerabilities and risks are identified and mitigated promptly.
- Coordinate vulnerability remediation for infrastructure, including desktop computers, printers, and software applications.
- Ensure efficient and effective delivery of Tier 3 desktop support, management, and engineering.
- Maintain security using Active Directory group policies to enforce secure configuration settings.
- One full year of minimum qualifying specialized experience comparable in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-13 level in the federal service.
- Experience must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for successful job performance.
- Examples of the minimum qualifying specialized experience include providing technical direction and guidance on server and desktop operating systems, installing and configuring desktops to meet the needs of an organization, and managing hardware and peripherals.
- Attention to Detail: Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
- Customer Service: Works with clients and customers to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations.
- Oral Communication: Expresses information to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information.
- Problem Solving: Identifies problems, determines accuracy and relevance of information, uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and makes recommendations.
