Job Title: Lead IT Application Developer

The Arkansas Department of Transportation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead IT Application Developer to join our team. As a key member of our IT Application Services team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in the development, implementation, and maintenance of our technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers and analysts
  • Lead the development and implementation of new software programs and applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and user manuals
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify emerging trends and technologies
  • Provide training and support to end-users and other Department personnel
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in application development and/or support
  • Strong technical knowledge of current programming languages and software development methodologies
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Working Conditions:

This position involves periods of sitting in front of a computer and working alongside end-users and other Department personnel. The successful candidate must be flexible to work overtime and weekends, as needed.

A valid driver's license is required for this position.
