Landscape Construction Supervisor

Apex Companies Inc. is a premier service provider with over 30 years of expertise in outdoor solutions. We specialize in comprehensive Grounds Care for various properties, including HOAs, apartments, and commercial sites. Our services extend to Landscaping, Irrigation, Lawn Treatments, as well as deck construction, maintenance, remodeling, siding, and roofing.

The Landscape Construction Supervisor is accountable for the overall management of landscape projects at job sites. This role involves overseeing all on-site activities related to landscape construction. Key responsibilities include organizing materials, planting hardscapes, irrigation systems, flowers, mulch, rocks, sod, and seeds. Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask are essential for success in this position.

Compensation:

$27 - $32 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the execution of construction projects, including planning labor, equipment, and material logistics to ensure timely job completion.
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of a landscaping crew ranging from 2 to 5 members.
  • Utilize various tools and machinery, such as heavy equipment, chainsaws, jackhammers, laser levels, and hand tools.
  • Complete necessary paperwork on a daily basis.
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and efficiently, adhering to company and government PPE standards.
  • Conduct employee training.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the landscape or construction field.
  • Proficient in operating required tools and equipment safely.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines - Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, tools, and equipment necessary for various landscape and construction tasks.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Must be able to carry and use a smartphone or data-enabled device for communication and reporting.
