Job Description

We are seeking exceptional candidates with early childhood education and/or experience who love teaching through play and want to make a difference in the lives of young children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interact with children through play and responsive conversations.
  • Encourage independence in routine activities and self-help skills.
  • Relate to each child as an individual and know their developmental level and special needs.

Communication:

  • Communicate with parents daily in a positive and informative manner.
  • Conduct parent-teacher conferences at least twice a year.
  • Use Teaching Strategies Gold assessment to track developmental skills and goals.

Curriculum and Documentation:

  • Create a daily schedule promoting a balance of indoor/outdoor play and quiet/active play.
  • Update lesson plans weekly based on observations of developmental milestones and individual needs.
  • Document classroom activities through transitional charts and attendance sheets.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma and some previous child care experience.
  • Preferred: College credit in early childhood development and at least one year of prior child care experience.

Benefits:

  • $15.20/hour or more, depending on education and experience.
  • Paid sick/vacation days and paid holidays for permanent staff.
  • Employer-offered insurance for permanent staff working a minimum of 30 hours/week.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday 1pm-5:45pm
