Infrastructure Maintenance Supervisor

Position Overview:
This role is exclusively available to current qualified personnel within the Kern County Public Works Department who have successfully completed their initial probationary period and received a satisfactory performance evaluation.
Examination Process:
Oral Assessment:
This will be conducted to evaluate the candidate's qualifications and suitability for the role. Candidates must achieve a minimum score of 70% to qualify.
All examination components will take place as scheduled, and no exceptions will be made.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
1. Completion of sixty (60) semester or ninety (90) quarter units of college coursework from an accredited institution, along with four (4) years of experience in managing and overseeing a relevant program area, including but not limited to equipment maintenance or road construction, with at least one (1) year in a supervisory role;
2. A High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent, accompanied by six (6) years of experience in a similar capacity, including one (1) year in a supervisory position;
3. An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Requirements:
Possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle License is necessary.
Potential Additional Qualifications:
Incumbents may be required to complete a specific training program within a designated timeframe upon hire.
