Job Overview

The Training Specialist plays a vital role in the Learning and Development team, assisting with administrative functions and ensuring associates are continuously growing and learning. This individual is responsible for training new employees during onboarding, staff, and ensuring training databases, metrics, and documentation are accurate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with back-up/co-facilitation for New Employee Orientation/Onboarding
  • Research, plan, organize, and conduct training programs for production, supervisory, technical, and front-line managers
  • Write material for new training programs; review, evaluate, and modify existing and proposed programs as well as recommend appropriate changes
  • Administer and evaluate training program qualifications and determine eligibility of prospective attendees
  • Prepare and distribute training aids such as instructional material, handouts, evaluation forms, and visual aids; set up audiovisual equipment and make presentations when necessary
  • Contacts attendees and department representatives for feedback about training programs
  • Maintain the training calendar for all Warroad, schedule the appropriate resources, and prepare the physical setup
  • Continuously assess team documents to ensure they are current to our processes; write and submit revisions as necessary
  • Maintain training documentation using LMS or other compliance software/tracking processes
  • Assist with data collection with skill pathing, assist in production shoots, and editing video of each job in job station, between
  • Handling reports for new production employee skill pathing certifications and overall progress with each product group
  • Surveying employees and then consolidating this data to report feedback to Product Groups, leaders, and Human Resources
Requirements
  • Four to six years of related teaching or training experience is strongly preferred
  • Must possess the ability to communicate with employees, trainers from other companies, professional training group members, and consultants- either by phone, in person, or through written correspondence
  • Must be able to work independently and under minimal directions
  • Bilingual language preferred
