Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant or Health Assistant II provides clinical and administrative support to our team in the Internal Medicine and Medical Specialties clinics. This role is responsible for preparing examination rooms, performing EKGs and waived testing, maintaining patient flow, and assisting clinicians during examinations and minor procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare examination rooms and maintain a clean and organized environment
• Perform EKGs and waived testing as needed
• Maintain patient flow and ensure timely completion of tasks
• Assist clinicians during examinations and minor procedures
• Provide patient instruction regarding test preparation and procedures

Administrative Duties:

• Assist patients on the phone and in person
• Check patients in and collect copays
• Schedule appointments and perform transcription
• Maintain accurate and confidential medical records

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of the Medical or Nursing Assistant program
• Certification as Medical Assistant, CPR certification
• Patient service experience
• Preferred: experience working with an electronic medical record and bilingual skills
