Job Title:

Direct Support Professional II

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional II to join our team at Redwood Family Care Network in Covina, CA. As a DSP II, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with developmental disabilities in their daily lives, promoting independence, and enhancing their overall well-being.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to promote clients' independence and self-advocacy.
  • Provide behavioral support and redirection techniques to manage challenging behaviors.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Document client progress and maintain accurate records.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; CPR/First Aid, CPI, and DSP 1 & 2 certifications necessary.
  • 1 year of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or mental illnesses preferred.
  • Valid in-state driver's license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record required.
