Job Title: Direct Support Professional

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team at Redwood Family Care Network. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to live fulfilling lives.

Job Summary:

The Direct Support Professional will provide quality support and advocacy to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting their health, safety, and well-being. This role requires a strong commitment to providing person-centered care and supporting individuals to achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement daily routines for clients, ensuring their needs are met and their quality of life is enhanced.
  • Assist clients with daily living tasks, including personal care and hygiene.
  • Prepare and serve meals, ensuring clients' dietary needs are met.
  • Transport clients to and from appointments and activities, using company-provided vehicles.
Requirements:
  • Direct Support Professional Certificate (Year 1 & Year 2) or willingness to obtain within the first 6 months of hire.
  • First Aid/CPR and CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certifications.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid California Driver's License.
  • Candidate must pass all pre-employment requirements, including a background check.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and work in various environments, including indoors and outdoors.
