Responsible for the preparation and delivery of meals while ensuring a hygienic and organized work environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares and serves meals for regular and special occasions, managing portion sizes and resource utilization effectively.
- Assists in food preparation tasks as required.
- Organizes and sets up food service items and condiments before meal times or events, ensuring high standards of quality and punctuality.
- Adheres to HACCP food safety regulations and cleaning protocols during service and clean-up, including dishwashing and equipment maintenance.
- Maintains cleanliness in kitchen, service areas, and dining spaces according to established schedules, ensuring proper food storage and monitoring food temperatures as necessary.
- Restocks dining area supplies such as dishes, condiments, and utensils; prepares the area for subsequent service as time allows.
- Tracks and manages monthly inventory and supply orders as needed.
- Familiarity with federal sanitation standards related to facilities, equipment, and utensils.
- Understanding of the operation and upkeep of kitchen appliances such as dishwashers, ovens, steamers, and refrigeration units.
- Effective communication skills in a professional setting.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks while upholding quality standards.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent is desirable.
- Prior experience in food service is advantageous.
