Job Summary

B.L. Harbert International, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Engineer to join its team in Arlington, Virginia. The successful candidate will work closely with the project manager, superintendents, and material suppliers to refine the project execution schedule and monitor the project's critical path.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks and milestones.
  • Prepare and update project reports, including progress tracking and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with the project team to identify and mitigate potential time impacts from changes or unanticipated conditions.
  • Manage procurement logs to optimize material planning and execution.
  • Assist in analyzing cost and time issues associated with RFPs.
Requirements
  • US citizenship.
  • Ability to travel abroad to project sites.
  • Security clearance through the US Government.
  • Undergraduate degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in scheduling and planning construction projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Primavera P6 scheduling software.
  • Department of Defense or Department of State project experience.
  • USACE or OBO project experience overseas.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management, follow-through, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain confidentiality.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in an office environment and periodically on construction sites overseas. The position requires flexibility with hours to accommodate business needs.

B.L. Harbert International, LLC offers a competitive remuneration package, including a US base salary, applicable overseas uplifts, completion bonus, local housing, post allowance, local transportation, 30-days per year vacation, 401K plan, and group insurance.
