Radiation Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Safety Specialist to join our team at UT Southwestern Medical Center. As a Radiation Safety Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe use of radioactive materials and radiation-producing equipment in our facilities.
About the RoleThe Radiation Safety Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing radiation safety programs, conducting inspections and audits, and providing training and guidance to staff on radiation safety procedures. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement radiation safety programs and procedures

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in a safety-related field and at least two years of experience in a related field. A Master's degree in a safety-related field and no experience may also be considered. Professional certification in a safety specialty is preferred.
