About the Job

This is a lab environment position, and the selected candidate is required to work on the bench from our HQ in Houston. The role has been designed as 'Onsite' with an expectation that you will primarily work from an HPE office.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, modify, evaluate electronic components, circuits, firmware, software for electronic equipment.
  • Assess equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results.
  • Select components and equipment based on analysis specifications and reliability.
  • Apply advanced subject matter knowledge to complex business issues and be regarded as a subject matter expert.
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and methods.
  • Work on complex problems/projects where assessment of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
  • Exercise significant judgement within broadly defined policies and practices to arrive at the best method of accomplishing tasks and achieving targets.
  • Oversee and/or provide expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to peers and juniors.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in providing direction and guidance to process improvements and policy matters.
  • Represent the organization to external customers/clients.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 10 or more years of experience.
  • Excellent assessment and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in overall architecture of electronic hardware for products and solutions.
  • Designing and integrating electronic components, integrated circuitry, and algorithms into overall architecture.
  • Evaluating and proposing forms of empirical assessment, modeling, and testing methodologies to validate component, circuit, and hardware designs and thermal/emissions management.
  • Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals, and negotiate options at senior management levels.
