Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and modifying electronic components, circuits, and firmware for electrical equipment. You will assess equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results. You will select components and equipment based on analysis specifications and reliability. You will apply advanced subject matter knowledge to complex business issues and be regarded as a subject matter expert. You will frequently contribute to the development of new ideas and methods. You will work on complex problems/projects where assessment of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. You will exercise significant judgement within broadly defined policies and practices to arrive at the best method of accomplishing tasks and achieving targets. You will oversee and/or provide expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. You will act as a subject matter expert in providing direction and guidance to process improvements and policy matters. You will frequently represent the organization to external customers/clients. You will design, assess, develop, modify, and evaluate electrical/electronic parts, components, sub-systems, algorithms, or integrated circuitry for electrical/electronic equipment and other hardware systems. You will conduct feasibility studies, design margin and validation analyses, and empirical testing on new and modified designs. You will assist in architecture development and assessment. You will evaluate the reliability of materials, properties, designs, and techniques used in production. You will may directly support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing, and prototype development. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will work on complex power solutions, including single-phase and multi-phase DC-DC converters, protection, monitoring, and reporting circuits. You will work with solution suppliers, ODMs, and power supply manufacturers to identify, implement, and sustain power solutions. You will oversee multiple project teams of other electrical hardware engineers and internal and outsourced development partners responsible for all stages of electrical hardware design and development for complex products, solutions, and platforms, including design, validation, tooling, and testing. You will manage and expand relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on electrical hardware design and development. You will review and evaluate designs and project activities for compliance with technology and development guidelines and standards; provide tangible feedback to improve product quality. You will provide domain-specific expertise and overall electrical/electronic hardware and platform leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities. You will drive innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the electrical hardware design. You will provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.
