Job Title: Director of Utilization Management

At VillageCare, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Utilization Management to lead our team in driving operational efficiency and ensuring quality patient care.

Job Summary

The Director of Utilization Management will oversee the utilization review process, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care, and develop strategies to enhance operational efficiency. This role requires strong leadership skills, analytical expertise, and a commitment to excellence and integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct utilization reviews and analyze data trends to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement utilization management programs that enhance cost efficiency and quality of care
  • Lead a team of utilization management professionals and provide guidance on complex cases
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and engage teams to identify educational needs and build training modules
Requirements

To excel in this role, you must possess:

  • Exceptional leadership skills to direct day-to-day operations effectively
  • Proficiency in overseeing concurrent reviews, discharge planning, and prior authorization functions
  • A strong background in developing and implementing utilization management programs
  • Expertise in maintaining staff productivity, compliance, and training
  • A Bachelor's Degree, with a Master's Degree preferred, and an active NYS (RN, NP, PA, or MD) license
  • A minimum of 5 years of management experience in a health-related field, along with 3 years in a quality management position
