Key Responsibilities:
As an intern, you will be integrated into one of our operational teams, playing a crucial role in supporting Delta's continuous operations. You will have the opportunity to work alongside industry professionals, utilizing data analytics to address and resolve operational challenges.
Team Assignments:
Your internship may involve working with one of the following teams:
- Load Management Team: Focus on aircraft weight and balance, fuel allocation, and adherence to operational standards. You will assist in streamlining processes to enhance efficiency for our frontline staff.
- Fuel Optimization Team: Engage in developing strategies and tools for managing our substantial fuel consumption. Your role will include analyzing data to improve fuel loads, optimize flight paths, and enhance forecasting accuracy.
Qualifications:
We are looking for undergraduate students pursuing a degree in fields such as Computer Science, Analytics, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or Aviation Management. Candidates should be:
- Available for multiple work terms.
- Enrolled in an educational institution throughout the internship.
- Eager to learn and adapt to new challenges.
- Team-oriented, with strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
Successful candidates may have experience with tools such as SQL, SAS, Python, R, and Tableau. Familiarity with airline operations and a passion for the aviation industry will be advantageous.
