The Risk Division is responsible for managing the firm's credit, market, liquidity, and operational risks. Our Credit Risk (CR) team plays a vital role in ensuring that credit exposure is managed within the firm's risk appetite, leveraging extensive expertise in financial analysis and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior credit professionals to assess the firm's risk appetite for lending counterparties.
- Conduct thorough underwriting of corporate lending and derivative transactions, including detailed counterparty analysis.
- Engage with Investment Banking and Asset Management teams to address key credit risk considerations.
- Prepare transaction memoranda that support Credit Risk recommendations.
- Participate in discussions regarding lending and trade risk approvals.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the firm's lending activities and credit underwriting fundamentals.
- Identify and escalate risk issues related to transactions and counterparties to senior management.
- Monitor the performance of counterparties, ensuring adherence to underwriting projections and terms.
- Foster relationships with various departments within the firm, including Investment Banking and Sales & Trading.
- Contribute to industry-specific teams such as consumer, retail, healthcare, and technology.
