Job Summary

The SATF Financial Advisor will provide financial guidance and support to the Student Government Association (SGA) and its Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) funded through the Student Activities Trust Fund (SATF). This role will also educate and advise students on financial management, leadership skills, and organizational development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial analysis, advice, and training to student governance officers and committees to facilitate sound financial management policies and planning for the SATF.
  • Assist in the development of internal policies and systems, analyze data, and provide reports on financial activity and trends.
  • Advise RSO financial officers/treasures on best practices and University policies and systems for managing budgets, monitoring account statements, and developing RSO policies and procedures.
  • Design and implement trainings for student leaders on financial operations and business processes.
  • Monitor SATF financial activity, identify areas of concern, and provide regular reporting of financial activity and performance.
  • Provide functional supervision and approve paid hours for SGA financial officers and staff.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with three (3) years' experience teaching students, advising, or business experience.
  • Professional finance experience managing budgets, budget analysis, and projections, or accounting procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience in using technology to increase efficiency, accessibility, and quality of financial practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in training and workshop design.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in higher education.
Work Environment

This is a typical office environment with some evening and weekend hours required.
