About the Role

The Student Financial Advisor will provide financial guidance and support to student organizations at UMass Amherst. This includes educating students on budgeting, financial management, and organizational development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial analysis and advice to student governance officers and committees.
  • Assist in the development of internal policies and systems for managing budgets and financial activity.
  • Advise student financial officers on best practices for managing budgets and financial transactions.
  • Design and implement training programs for student leaders on financial operations and business processes.
  • Monitor financial activity and identify areas of concern.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with three years' experience in teaching, advising, or business.
  • Professional finance experience managing budgets and financial analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience in using technology to increase efficiency and quality of financial practices.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in higher education.
