About the Role

The Industrial Gas Turbine Continuous Improvement Manager is a key position within Howmet Corporation, responsible for driving and leading continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. This role plays a critical part in enhancing on-time delivery, productivity, quality, cost, manufacturing, safety, engineering, forecasting, and environmental performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with location leadership to drive continuous improvement activities and waste elimination, identifying and implementing new productivity improvements.
  • Lead Manufacturing, Process Owners, and Industrial Engineering activities to support operations excellence in IGT operations.
  • Conduct QSI cost analysis, manufacturing cost analysis, capacity, labor quoting, and forecasting to inform business decisions.
  • Facilitate and drive the 5-year Hoshin with advanced manufacturing for IGT, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Coordinate and deliver team-based and continuous improvement training to enhance organizational performance.
  • Develop and review Hoshin IGT plans, ensuring consistency and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Provide internal consulting and coaching to assist individuals and teams in applying continuous improvement principles and techniques.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators to measure progress and inform decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in a manufacturing work environment.
  • Minimum 5 years' Continuous Improvement experience in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Formal education and training in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
  • Manufacturing experience in Investment Castings.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead managers and employees in driving change initiatives.
  • Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to train and lead others.
  • Continuous Improvement certification Level 2 or completion within 18 months of role.
