Job Overview

SouthLight Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Care Professional to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team in Cumberland County. As an ACTT Psychiatrist, you will play a vital role in providing clinical consultation and treatment for patients with mental health and substance use disorders.


About the Role

This full-time or part-time position offers a flexible schedule, ranging from 8 to 40 hours per week, depending on your needs. You will have the opportunity to work with a supportive team who values Compassion, Excellence, Collaboration, Inclusion, Hope, and Authenticity.


Responsibilities
  • Evaluate members in crisis for treatment and ongoing psychiatric services
  • Provide high-quality psychiatric services, including evaluations and medication management
  • Assess physical health needs and make referrals as necessary
  • Comply with all requirements of the NC Medical Board and SouthLight Compliance policies

Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited Psychiatric Residency Program
  • Board Eligible or Board-Certified Psychiatrist with experience in diagnosing and treating mental health and co-occurring conditions
  • Knowledge of Federal and State Regulations relative to Mental Health and Substance Use Treatment
