About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to contribute to the success of our operating rooms at Advocate Aurora Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain aseptic surgical environments, adhering to the highest standards of patient safety and care.
  • Assist surgeons and other medical professionals during surgical procedures, providing support and expertise as needed.
  • Operate and maintain various types of equipment used in the operating room, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Transport patients and equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to hospital protocols and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull with 30 pounds of force, and perform other physical demands of the role.
