Job Overview

Fawkes IDM is seeking a highly skilled and organized Litigation Legal Secretary to join our team. As a key member of our legal support staff, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our law firm.

Responsibilities
  • Calendar Management: Manage the day-to-day schedules of our attorneys, including coordinating travel arrangements, planning conferences, and monitoring court appearance dates.
  • Document Preparation: Prepare and edit documents such as letters, memoranda, briefs, and pleadings from forms, original materials, or dictation.
  • Case File Management: Consistently open, maintain, and organize case files to ensure accurate and timely access to critical information.
  • Financial Management: Review and revise monthly billing forms for accuracy and completeness, and process reimbursements, expense reports, and check requests.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, court reporters, opposing counsel's staff, and internal colleagues through both oral and written means.
  • Technical Skills: Utilize MS Excel and MS PowerPoint to prepare spreadsheets and presentations, and use Relativity in connection with e-discovery.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as a legal secretary or paralegal.
