About the Role

The Indirect Tax Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of tax payments for purchased items. This position will be responsible for preparing and submitting tax payments, as well as maintaining precise financial records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare use tax for purchased items that were not properly taxed
  • Prepare check requests for tax payments
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for sales and use tax accounts
  • Organize tax audit responses as required
  • Monthly review of AP invoices for taxability
  • Organize and submit all details needed to obtain various economic incentives related to the start-up of the manufacturing building
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in Sales & Use tax
  • Technical proficiency in MS Excel to provide analytics and SAP
  • Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced literacy with Microsoft Office, especially Excel spreadsheets and database functions for tracking, variance analysis, and reporting
  • Knowledge of SAP, Oracle, or another fully integrated ERP system
  • Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SAP S4
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Experience with economic incentive programs
  • Build strong relationships and collaborate well at all levels
  • Ability to work with domestic and international teams
  • Resilient, self-motivated, and able to work well under pressure
