Position Overview:

KODA Technologies is seeking a High Power Microwave/Radio Frequency Engineer to provide expertise for the U.S. Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO) Indirect Fire Protection Capability - High Power Microwave (IFPC-HPM). The selected candidate will offer HPM subject matter expertise, analyze technical data, and assess the impact of HPM on various systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of technical documentation, including SRR/SFR/PDR/CDR presentations, HPM acceptance testing, lethality assessments, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Advise on the optimal placement of HPM systems to enhance effectiveness while minimizing interference with other equipment.
  • Collaborate with Naval Surface Warfare Division-Dahlgren HPM subject matter experts to provide recommendations to RCCTO leadership on ongoing projects.
  • Engage with stakeholders to secure approval for HPM system operations.
  • Perform comprehensive analyses to determine necessary technical specifications.
  • Offer professional engineering guidance throughout various phases of research, development, and deployment.
  • Estimate technical parameters that may not be readily available through existing analyses.
  • Assist in the preparation of risk assessment reports, safety evaluations, and technical documentation.
Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in evaluating and coordinating risk mitigation strategies for HPM/RF systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience.
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, including program management and technical personnel.
  • Familiarity with the Directed Energy Weapon Initial Operational Employment Review and Approval Process (DEWRAP).
  • Experience with various sensor technologies (EO/IR, Radar, etc.).
  • Knowledge of non-kinetic effectors (Lasers, EW, etc.).
  • Capability to develop detailed project schedules and processes.
  • Understanding of systems engineering methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with senior military leadership.
Clearance Requirement:
  • An active DoD Secret Clearance is mandatory.
