Key Responsibilities- Patient Check-In and Check-Out: Greet patients promptly, complete the check-in process efficiently, and ensure accurate and thorough review of patient demographics, income, insurance, and sliding fee.
- Appointment Scheduling and Management: Effectively manage patient flow, monitor daily appointment schedules, and communicate delays to patients and clinical staff.
- Financial Transactions and Reconciliation: Collect co-pays, accurately reconcile daily cash, and complete the check-out process for patient visits.
- Customer Service and Communication: Provide exceptional customer service, communicate effectively with back office support staff and other departments, and function well as a team.
- Administrative Tasks: Schedule follow-up appointments, serve as a cashier, and collect payment and set up payment plans as needed.
- Education and Experience: High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of two years' experience working in a physician's office or healthcare facility.
- Skills and Abilities: Exceptional customer service skills, ability to interact successfully with people from diverse backgrounds, basic computer literacy, and working knowledge of electronic medical records and practice management systems.
