Requisitos Mínimos de Educación, Capacitación y Experiencia
- Título universitario en un campo relacionado, Licencia de Enfermero Práctico o Certificación en Codificación con al menos cinco años de experiencia en el sector salud, de los cuales dos deben ser en un área relacionada con el ciclo de ingresos, como registro, contabilidad de pacientes, servicios financieros o atención administrada. En lugar del título universitario, se requieren ocho años de experiencia en el sector salud, con al menos cinco de esos años en un área relacionada con el ciclo de ingresos como se mencionó anteriormente.
- Se prefiere un año de experiencia como líder de equipo o supervisión.
- Se requiere conocimiento de terminología médica; directrices de reembolso de pagadores (autorización/notificación, necesidad médica y directrices de presentación oportuna); procesos de apelación de denegaciones de pagadores/resolución de subpagos; y contratos de atención administrada. Las personas que trabajen con auditorías gubernamentales deben tener un profundo entendimiento de todos los requisitos y plazos de respuesta a auditorías.
