Position Overview

  • Join our dynamic team, which consists of 45 dedicated professionals, as part of the SpecialChem global business unit, focusing on the production and delivery of high-quality products in conjunction with our Solvay support teams and executive leadership.
  • As the Operations Supervisor at our facility, you will provide guidance, direction, and support to the manufacturing team, ensuring that the site operates safely, efficiently, and profitably while leading in technology and operational excellence. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the SpecialChem business and positively influencing site operations.
  • Your responsibilities will include:
    • Managing all facets of plant operations, including safety protocols, financial oversight, manufacturing processes, engineering, materials management, quality assurance/control, human resources, and information systems.
    • Guaranteeing the safe and effective delivery of products and services to our clients.
    • Formulating and executing site policies and procedures, assessing workforce needs, and overseeing production to meet customer demands.
  • This is a full-time, on-site position.
Candidate Profile
  • A relevant degree in chemical or mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Significant work experience within the chemical sector.
  • Key competencies include:
    • A foundational understanding of business operations, forecasting, and profit & loss management.
    • Knowledge of labor relations to facilitate effective negotiations with union representatives.
    • Demonstrated ability to drive manufacturing excellence, continuously improve operations and safety, and effectively manage site complexities.
  • Essential behaviors include:
    • Leadership skills that foster succession planning and the development of team members.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills to support global reporting and presentation needs.
Compensation and Benefits
  • We offer competitive and equitable compensation: the expected salary range for this role is $133,000 to $167,000, with potential adjustments based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive total rewards package that may include bonuses and other incentives.
