Job Title: Retail Operations Supervisor

Essential Function

As a Retail Operations Supervisor, you will oversee the recruitment, training, and leadership of store associates while ensuring an exceptional customer experience. You will manage all aspects of store operations and uphold brand standards. Your role will involve developing strategies and plans to meet key performance indicators and financial objectives through business analysis, action planning, effective communication, and accountability. In the absence of the Store Manager, you will assume responsibility for all primary duties outlined below.

Primary Duties

30% Brand Management: You will provide guidance and support to associates in achieving daily goals that enhance client experiences, maximize sales, and foster customer loyalty. You will ensure compliance with brand standards in merchandising, marketing, and store presentation. You will act as the primary contact for resolving customer inquiries and will analyze store trends to anticipate customer needs.

30% Team Development: You will engage, train, and mentor your team to drive positive outcomes. Utilizing internal hiring platforms, you will actively recruit to build a strong pool of candidates. You will identify individual strengths and areas for improvement among associates, providing coaching and feedback as necessary. You will maintain positive relations by addressing associate concerns and keeping the team informed about relevant company updates. Building strong relationships with Store Manager peers and maintaining open communication with district management will be essential.

30% Operational Excellence: You will ensure the execution of all company processes through effective training and management. You will oversee inventory management, payroll, and scheduling to align with business needs. Ensuring that all store opening and closing procedures are executed correctly is a key responsibility, along with timely follow-through on company directives and projects.

10% Safety and Loss Prevention: You will maintain a safe store environment for both associates and customers, ensuring compliance with all safety policies and procedures. You will be responsible for safeguarding company assets by adhering to inventory and cash control measures.

Knowledge, Skills/Abilities and Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Minimum of 3+ years in retail sales or customer service preferred
  • At least 1+ year(s) of prior management experience preferred
  • Ability to lead a team to achieve business objectives
  • Effective communication skills with team and management
  • Availability to meet the needs of the business
  • Cosmetology license is desirable but not required

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
