Job Summary

Atrium Health Charlotte is seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist Level II to join our team. As a critical care transport specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and transportation services to patients in need of critical care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze patient data to inform treatment decisions
  • Provide respiratory care and stabilization to patients in critical condition
  • Collaborate with medical teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Operate and maintain medical equipment, including ventilators and oxygen therapy devices
  • Transport patients safely and efficiently using various modes of transportation, including ambulances, helicopters, and airplanes
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of respiratory care
  • Current RT license or temporary license as a registered petitioner
  • BSRT preferred
  • BLS required
  • Three years clinical respiratory care experience in the Emergency Department and/or Intensive Care Unit
  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency in advanced procedures and skills bi-annually
  • Paramedic Certification required within 2 years of hire
