Job Title: IT Support Specialist

Commonwealth Autism is seeking a highly skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team. As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our technology systems to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical assistance to resolve hardware, software, and network issues for end-users.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems, providing solutions or escalating issues as necessary to ensure minimal downtime and disruption.
  • Assist users in understanding and utilizing technology resources effectively through training sessions and documentation.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including software updates, antivirus management, and system backups, to ensure security and stability of IT infrastructure.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software, including peripherals and applications, to meet user requirements.
  • Assist in the maintenance and configuration of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls, to ensure reliable connectivity and data transmission.
  • Maintain an inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and peripherals, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Provide remote assistance to users, troubleshooting issues and offering solutions via phone, email, or remote desktop tools.
  • Document IT procedures, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions, and generate reports on system performance and user support metrics.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in IT support or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and network troubleshooting techniques.
  • Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other productivity software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.
Working Environment:

This position requires collaboration with the Leadership Team, all Commonwealth Autism and Good Foods Grocery Staff, Clients & Vendors, and Community Partners. Hours could vary and depending on emergencies could include weekends.
