We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Employee Relations Specialist to join our team at Securian Financial Group. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will play a critical role in maintaining a positive and productive work environment, advising management on employee relations issues, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Advise management on employee relations issues, including performance coaching, disciplinary actions, and workplace conflicts
- Investigate and resolve employee complaints and concerns, ensuring a fair and equitable process
- Develop and implement effective HR policies and procedures to promote a positive work environment
- Collaborate with management and leadership to identify and address employee engagement and retention issues
- Provide training and development opportunities to employees to enhance their skills and knowledge
- 5+ years of experience in employee relations or a related field
- Proven track record of success in handling employee relations issues, interpreting employment laws, and writing HR policies
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, including EEO, ADA, FLSA, FMLA, and FCRA
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees and management
- Ability to work independently and drive results in a fast-paced environment
